The West Island Lakers were eliminated from the Classique de St-Bruno tournament today in the most emotionally charged game of the season. Dawson's big man B.Y. was back in Coach Tyrell's linep-up, racking-up 18 points, which is just one point more than the point spread between both teams at the closing buzzer. When WILBA defeated Dawson last weekend, the point spread was 29 points.
Despite just one injury on WILBA Coach's Geller bench, his team could not muster the level of effort required to defeat the Blues. Dawson moves-on to face the giants named Titans from Montreal-North in the final today at 16h00. Incidentally, several Titan players were seen driving themselves to the game this morning, raising further doubts about their being true Mini b-ballers.
The next game against the Monarques de Montréal in St-Michel (driving instructions) is next Sunday, February 10th @ 12h15.
