Team Blog Launched!

We are proud to announce the launch of the 2008 WILBA Inter-City Mini Boys Team Blog! The word « blog » is a contraction of the terms « web » and « log ». In this context, the term « log » is used in reference to Captain Kirk of Star Trek fame whose TV shows always started with an entry in the Captain’s Log. A blog is also a kind of living, breathing website that anyone can contribute-to without being a techie. Information that you normally get in e-mail will also be posted on the blog.

Here are some features of the blog:

• Breaking News: The Team Manager can post instant messages from anywhere using a mobile phone (thanks to Fido), so check-out the blog for last-minute news you need to know (like cancellations, change-of-venue, etc.)
• Team Calendar: Every practice, every home and away game, every tournament and every important date, as well as each player's birthday is listed on the blog.
• Driving Directions: In the case of « away » games (games not played @ JRHS) click the date in the Team Calendar to see driving directions from JRHS (thanks to Google Maps).
• Opposing Team: Hover your mouse over the game dates to see who we’re playing and when.

All comments must be reviewed by the Team Manager before being made public. Here's how it works: simply post your comments as you would on any blog; the Team Manager then receives an e-mail; your comment will be reviewed & approved (or not) as quickly as possible. Parents with digital cameras are encouraged to share game photos and videos using this blog.
